- [Installing]
  1 I manually mounted the ISO files. I copied and merged the STEAM folders into /Library/Application Support/Spectrasonics
  2 I opened terminal at /Library/Application Support/Spectrasonics (you can just drag the Spectrasonics folder onto it in the dock and it will open at the right directory)
  3 run chmod -R 777 ./* this will recursively change the permission of every file and folder under Spectrasonics to have read & write for all users
  4 Run the package install
  5 Run the package update & merge the update STEAM files
  [Patching]
  1 Create a tmp folder on your desktop or where ever
  2 Copy the Omnisphere vst and component to this tmp folder (located in /Library/Audio/Plug-Ins/VST/Omnisphere.vst /Library/Audio/Plug-Ins/Components/Omnisphere.component)
  3 In the tmp folder right click the vst file -> "show package contents"
  4 Move /Contents/MacOS/Omnisphere to the root of the tmp folder
  5 Run the keygen.exe provided with the torrent (you can run this on mac too. http://freaktorrents.net/threads/keygen-app-os-x-2016-0-dada.2892/ )
  6 Click patch and select the Omnisphere file you just copied to the root of the tmp folder. -> Successfully patched
  7 Move this patched file back to /Contents/MacOS/Omnisphere and delete the Omnisphere file on the root
  8 Repeat for the component
  9 Move these patched vst and comp files back to to their original location (step 2). If prompted, chose to replace or overwrite.
  [Running]
  1 Open your DAW
  2 Start an instance of Omnisphere
  3 Copy the challenge code into the keygen and past the response code back in.
  4 Restart your DAW and Omnisphere should be up and running.
  [Note]
  If your DAW complains that the STEAM folder is missing just located it at it's install directory.
  If your DAW complains about read/write permissions, you may need to chmod again.

- STEAM file doesn't install itself during installation. Only plugin itself installing. I had tried several ways to install STEAM folder but its a failure. OS is Mac OSX 10.14.2. If you have alternative files to download and install let me know please. Thank you.

- I see people like @tokainz talking about all this crazy stuff about mounting the .iso and I have absolutely no idea how to do that. I scoured the internet searching for answers and I have come across these ideas about having a virtual disk drive which I do not understand. Can anyone help out someone who has very little knowledge about hacking or going into the terminal with installing this wonderful vst? I only have like 25 GB of space on C drive so I will obviously try to have the .dll file in the local vst folder but I want to make sure the libraries are all on the D Drive where I have way more space.
  
  I understand the step by step process and that there are essentially 8 disks to deal with here in the .iso format, but I keep getting error messages when I install that read, "Insert Omnisphere then click OK to install...." as if Omnisphere was not there. Please help with these queries. Any guidance would be highly appreciated. Thank you.

  Just use Daemon Tools to mount it, and mount 1 by 1. For moving Stem data folder from C to D I used Ultimate plugin tool,and it works as charm

  I appreciate the help. I will try to install Daemon tools and see if it works. Stajski, I just wanted to note that you were extremely helpful last time I talked with you regarding waves. I would like to ask for clarification in the sense that First I have to mount the .iso's then do step 1 and step 2 correct? Step 3 and 4 don't apply to me because I do not have those plugins listed.
  
  To clarify:
  What exactly does it mean to mount? Will it be clear in the Daemon tools? Where am I supposed to mount to?
  Secondly, Can't I just install the STEAM data folder straight to D Drive? It asks me in the installer if I want to create my own folder, what is the problem with that? I think the libraries are huge and I would not be able to install it to C. I am not familiar with the "Ultimate Plugin Tool" Could you please explain this to me? Thank you for your help. - I keep running into problems in two different places. When I try to mount the .iso files, I can only mount a total of 4 using Daemon Tools. Could you please recommend a better software that I can use all 4 to mount at once?
  Second problem. At the time of this installation, I have only 28 GB of space on C drive, is there any way that I can place the STEAM folder somewhere else at the time of installing? I keep putting it into my 1TB D Drive but it then says, "Please insert Omnisphere Discs, or we will exit out and stop installation..." After running the data updater it will say "the custom STEAM folder you selected in D drive has no omnisphere subfolder"
  
  What do you recommend me to do? Do I need more space in C? Please let me know. Thank you

  C:\Program Files\VSTPlugIns
  
  i dont know if only is necesary patch one of all of these, but i patch all, and works in 2.6.1 version.

- On WIN 10 the installation stops. I`ve mounted all iso. But afetr 5 Minutes of install process nothing hppens. Have to qiot setup via task manager. Any help would be appreciated

- After a little work, I got this running under Mojave. After downloading and unpacking and mounting the .ISO DVDS I ran the installer pkg and Omnisphere data updater pkg from DVD1. These installed the STEAM contents folder and the plugins which will be replaced.
  
  I downloaded the MAC 2.0.3d update. Unpacked it and copied the VST and Component files to (yes click replace)
  library/audio/plugins/vst
  library/audio/plugins/component
  
  I launched my DAW to start the authorization but the MAC keygen didn't work. I downloaded v2.0 patch and keygen by R2R and used their keygen "Spectrasonics_2048_KeyGen.exe" (ran it using WINE stable 5.0) to authorize , closed Omnisphere and my DAW.
  
  Next to get to the hidden library folder (this is different from the main library folder) to move your STEAM content you have to hold down
  Command Shift and click on the . (yes the period) all the hidden files and folders will turn on. You can turn them off the same way when finished.
  
  Now navigate to
  Users/NAME OF YOUR COMPUTER/Library/Application Support/Spectrasonics/STEAM/Omnisphere/
  
  DO NOT close it this is where we will have a total of 5 folders (with subfolders) after "merging" the data from the 8 .iso DVDs. Intially there will be 3 folders created inside the Omnisphere folder but they will be overwritten
  
  Starting with DVD1 open STEAM/Omnisphere and move all 5 folders to the above location (yes click replace) and DO NOT close the folders
  
  Defaults
  Documentation
  Settings Library
  Soundsources
  Wavetables
  
  Go to DVD 2 and open the STEAM/Omnisphere/Soundsources/factory/Core Library/
  and move all three folders to the same path as the Soundsources folder above.
  
  Just keep doing the same process with the remaining DVDs until all STEAM data is added to Core Library. The content is spread out across the 8 DVDs so you will be copying other "core folders" and copying the content to the corresponding core folders. The whole process will take about an hour. Just remember to look at the file structure so the correct databases and jpegs are moved to the correct place. And if prompted for your password to authenticate adding content to a folder that's normal
  
  When you relaunch your DAW and run Omnisphere you will be good to go. Have fun!
