OwnHammer Impulse Response Libraries 112 VC15 SLV-12B [Impulse Response]
P2P | 31 October 2020 | 369 MB
The “112 VC15” is based on and seeking to recreate the sound of a Vox® AC15H1TVL hardwood mahogany 1x12 open back combo.
The “SLV-12B” is based on and seeking to recreate the sound of a 12 inch, 8-ohm, 75-Hz Pulsonic cone Celestion® T1088 silver AlNiCo speaker made in April of 1967.
The Cabinet (112 VC15)
"The hardwood composition of this particular cabinet certainly exudes more resonance than the typical birch construction of typical guitar cabinets (or MDF from this brand's later offerings), as well the fact that it is not encapsulated in glue and tolex. From this ability to permit the enclosure breathe, the natural low midrange push from this wood type is allowed to creep into the overall sound even more, making the cabinet's contribution to the tone be that of something on the warm and woody side."
The Speaker (SLV-12B)
"So far as this particular driver, this specific specimen of Pulsonic cone, pre-Rola silver AlNiCo came to the OwnHammer inventory from the collection of legend Michael Landau, and fits the expected characteristics of these kinds of speakers: chimy, but with more midrange than the blue AlNiCo counterparts."
The Combination
"These elements merge to form a traditional but distinctive vintage British AlNiCo tone, with growl, bark, and chime all rolled into one."
16 carefully and strategically placed single mic files
7 industry standard microphones:
57 - 87 - 121 - 160 - 414 - 421 - 84 (aux)
61 meticulously crafted proprietary multi-mic mixes
8 voicing variations per mic and mix file
industry leading capture techniques and presentation
major production/mastering grade signal chain
Wave audio format IR's (.wav) are compatible with convolution reverb type loaders in recording software and outboard hardware units and are provided in:
