Bass Cafe
In this Foundations edition of Ryan Madora's Bass Cafe, you'll learn how to establish a solid groove that inspires conversation between band members, enhances the experience for the listener, and best serves the songs you happen to be playing across a variety of popular styles.
You'll focus on fretboard dexterity, technique, applying diatonic harmony to popular music, and get comfortable identifying chord progressions, applying patterns such as arpeggios, and playing in different registers.
”Most importantly, we'll do a lot of playing - the backing tracks are inspired by well-known songs and are all played by live musicians. These progressions show up in tons of songs, from classic soul and rhythm and blues to reggae, rock, and modern country. We'll highlight variations, play along to the examples, and talk about the best ways to get creative with them.”
Since moving to Nashville in 2012, Ryan has worked with working with some of Music City's most talented artists and producers, including Bobby Bones and The Raging Idiots, Robben Ford, Garth Brooks, Darius Rucker, Lady Antebellum, Luke Bryan, Carrie Underwood, Marren Morris, Hanson, and many others. You may have even seen Ryan on the 3rd, 4th, and 5th seasons of the hit TV show “Nashville.”
We're thrilled to welcome Ryan to the family with her first TrueFire course, the Foundations edition of Bass Cafe. You will likewise be thrilled as you grab your bass and play your way through Ryan's illuminating and highly engaging curriculum!
