Capture simplifies your live-recording environment, providing only the tools necessary to do a true virtual soundcheck and record a great performance, without placing huge demands on your CPU. And because Capture looks and feels like a classic multitrack hard-disk recorder, it’s instantly familiar.

Soundcheck without the hassle, er, artist

The virtual sound checker is a feature that can help you avert all sorts of inconveniences, such as when band members are late or do not show up at all, for example. Moreover, it can also be a godsend gift for the situations when you face certain artists who complain that their monitor mixes were not perfect from the beginning of the show, even though they did not want to be bothered with sound checks.

Work in stereo or in glorious multitrack

In addition to recording all channels of any StudioLive-series mixer - up to 64 channels with two cascaded StudioLive AI-series or StudioLive RM-series mixers - Capture allows you to record a stereo track from the mixer’s main outputs, subgroup outputs, aux sends, solo bus, talkback mic, aux inputs, internal FX sends, or internal FX returns. Capture even lets you work away from your mixer, playing back a stereo mix with your computer’s soundcard. Edit your mixes on the band bus or the silver bird, or even at the beach. (Don’t get sand in your laptop!) Best of all, Capture uses the highly lauded, 64-bit, Studio One audio engine, so your tracks will sound amazing!

Simple - but not dumbed down

As straightforward and easy to use as Capture is, it gives you several important features. Of course you get basic transport and cut/copy/paste edit functions. But there’s much more than you might expect from a “simple” recording application. Capture makes it easy to see your meters in a dark space, drop markers and export each song separately, do virtual soundchecks, edit sessions offline in stereo, and create new sessions.
