P2P | 11 November 2022 | 354 MB
Join Groove3 instructor Gary Hiebner for a comprehensive look at IK Multimedia's TONEX: an exciting ecosystem that grants you instant access to thousands of rigs, not to mention the ability to model your own rig and have access to the tones anywhere. You'll learn how to navigate presets, change amp/cabinet models, add effects, capture your own rig's tones, integrate with AmpliTube, and much more. These videos are for new TONEX users.
After welcoming you to the course, Gary begins by discussing the TONEX ecosystem and describing what it does and how. Learn about the three different versions of TONEX and what sets them apart, followed by how to configure your audio settings in both the standalone and plugin versions. Gary then gives you a tour of the interface, where you'll learn basic signal flow and how to switch between tone models.
Next, explore the various tone models and also hear the difference between various speaker cabinet models, which can be freely mixed with various amps for a wide variety of tonal options. Discover the VIR (Volumetric Impulse Response) technology and hear how it differs from tone modeled speaker cabinets and see how you can import your own IR from a collection within TONEX. Then you'll follow along as Larry demonstrates how to work with presets, including browsing, searching, and creating and saving your own.
For the remainder of the course, Larry covers many other topics, including, Tone Collection packs, EQ, the noise gate, the compressor, reverb, adding TONEX in AmpliTube, combining amps and pedals, using ToneNet (a guitar tone sharing community), and the TONEX Capture device (a hardware accessory for modeling your own rig), along with several examples illustrating the use of TONEX Capture.
