Ruben Ganev is a Bulgarian producer, DJ and label owner, with 15 years experience in sonic craftsmanship under his belt. Born in Sofia of Armenian heritage, Ganev has spent 11 years away from his homeland exploring his potential and refining his craft. With his latter years spent in Berlin, Ganev has also resided in the UK, where he graduated in Sound Design at London’s University of Arts in 2011.
In 2020 Ganev founded his own label, mould.audio, a platform to fuse his musical inspirations and experiences, intertwined with his explorations from residing in Berlin for 5 years.
Ruben touches upon a lot of strong theoretical points and shares a few things about his workflow, we welcome him to show us his signature unorthodox yet effective methods of how he arranges drum parts, carves out room for each and every sound with great detailing.
