Moment Orch Incarnate, a Giant Claw moment [WAV, Synth Presets]

Giant Claw is the musical project of Keith Rankin: visual artist, Orange Milk Records co-founder, and member of legendary electronic trio death’s dynamic shroud. His work focuses on blending textures and audio fidelities both organic and digital with traditional harmonic and melodic material to create a hybrid modern composition. Rankin has been a pillar in underground music since 2010, both as an influential audio-visual artist in developing genre spaces like vaporwave, plunderphonics, and microsound and as a label head at Orange Milk, spotlighting groundbreaking artists since its inception.
The first-ever Giant Claw sample pack, ‘Orch Incarnate’ is meant to “suggest the idea of a traditional orchestra being reconstructed, exhumed, or brought back to life via digital means.” The sonic necromancer has cast together raw organic worlds with extreme digital textures to tell a fantastical tale. The pack blurs the lines between physical and digital: the synthesized sounds have a beating heart while the physical instruments have been pushed beyond the mortal plane. Rankin, as always, wants to tell a new story: “I didn’t want to focus so much on basic kick and snare sounds, but rather a range of textures and timbres that hopefully you can mix and layer and have a lot of fun uncovering.”
