Luftrum Pandorum II 400 Dark Cinematic Presets for Omnisphere 2 [Synth Presets]
P2P | 21 December 2024 | 0.6 MB
Pandorum II is a modern, mind-bending and dark sci-fi experience, featuring 400 deep programmed cinematic sounds.
Following the prequel success Pandorum, and with over four months in the making, the set is created and designed by sound designer Stephan Baer and curated by Luftrum.
Pandorum II is perfect for any game- or filmscore situation that requires pulsing rhythms, dark sci-fi underscore synths, somber ominous basses, lush pads and atmospheres, ambient keys, dark industrial hits and pitched transitions, sinister soundscapes and last but not least, a big selection of driving and pulsing arpeggios and BPM material. Over 100 of the presets are based around tense rhythmic structures.
Main influences are composers such as Max Richter & Lorne Balfe (Ad Astra), Steven Price (Gravity), Benjamin Wallfisch & Hans Zimmer (Dune, Bladerunner 2049), Jon Ekstrand (Life), M83 and the late and great Jóhann Jóhannsson (Arrival).
Check out the YouTube teasers below and the playlist of demo tracks. The playlist contains 'dressed' and 'naked' versions of many of the demos. The dressed versions might have added vocals, strings or other sounds and effects and the naked ones are the exact same tracks, just stripped to the bone without any additional content – produced using only presets from the Omnisphere sound pack.
Pandorum II requires Omnisphere version 2.8. All presets are sorted in official Spectrasonics categories and all have a few dB of headroom reserved. The presets contain extensive modulation routings, including modwheel and velocity assignments. Aftertouch is used wherever applicable. There's a PDF guide included, that describes how to install the set. The cover artwork is licensed from and created by Max Hay.
