in my effort to rid myself of using third party plugins at all, here are some ableton live-native utilitarian racks that i use in pretty much every project file

Delay-Reverb Throw

• this allows you to create a delay or reverb tail by automating a piece of incoming signal. this is useful because you cannot do this by simply automating wet/dry.
• parameters - input gain, and time for both delay and reverb separately.

Dimension Expander

• creates an artificial widening of stereo by duplicating a delayed signal where the left phase is inverted from the right.
• while this is a time-based effect, this does not create phase or combing in mono.
• parameters - time and wet

Dual Band

• a dual-parallel processing set up for low end and the other for high. while this is a fairly simple one, this removes a handful of steps after doing this so frequently. this is useful when you want to apply processing to just the low end, and leave the high untouched; or if you want to apply different processing to either.

Endless Smile

• a filter-reverb mock-up of Dada Life’s ‘Endless Smile’ plugin.
• one parameter u know the rules - intensity

Tape Vibrato

• creates a tape like vibrato by slowly modulating delay time. typically vibratos are done at oscillator level so this is a useful tool to do it on samples.
• parameters: rate and depth
