Groove Agent SE 6: A redesigned Groove Agent SE with scalable UI, new mixer, and enhanced effects brings next-level drum production inside Cubase.

Changes from Previous Versions
For this version, Groove Agent SE has been extensively redesigned. Its functionality has been improved, with a focus on usability. As a result, some features have been modified and/or moved to different locations within the application.

The top section of the plug-in window now contains the kit section on the left and the configurable toolbar on the right.

One noticeable change is that the features previously referred to as Instrument and Pattern pads have been renamed. Instrument pads are now called Kit pads and pattern pads are called Player pads.

In previous versions of Groove Agent SE, each agent came with its own Mixer. Groove Agent SE 6 provides a unified and optimized Mixer for all agents. Furthermore, you can now load all available effects in all agents.

Highlights

Load Panel
- The Load Panel now offers a dedicated Sample tab, allowing you to browse only your samples.
- The file info and prelisten section at the bottom of the Load panel now offers prelistening for all file types, and features improved Loop Playback and Prelisten in Place functions.

Pattern Player
- As an addition to the Style Player and the MIDI Player, the new Pattern Player allows you to create your own patterns in a classic step sequencer environment. You can either create them from scratch, or by converting a style or MIDI file into a pattern and modifying it further using the tools and functions of the Pattern Player.

Beat Agent SE
- On the Pitch tab, the new Pitch Detection function was added. In addition, the Pitch Quantize feature allows you to quickly shift the pitch to full semitones.
- On the Amp tab, the Invert Phase parameter was added which allows you to invert the phase of the sample.
- On the Sample tab, a new Warp Mode was added: Spectral. It offers enhanced time stretching and formant shifting.

Beat Agent SE Envelope Editing
- Several new editing functions are available. The new Shaper envelope mode has been added. Furthermore, the Pitch envelope now has a Bipolar button, allowing you to switch the envelope from unipolar to bipolar, and vice versa.
- With the Edit tool, you can now edit multiple selected envelope nodes much more conveniently than in previous versions.

Mixer
- Groove Agent SE 6 comes with a unified and optimized Mixer for all agents.
- All agents can now load all available effects.

More New Features
Options Page
- The UI Scaling parameter on the Options page allows for better readability on native 4K monitors, for example.

Edit page
- The Edit page for Player pads can now be opened in a separate window, which allows you to edit Player pads and Kit pads in parallel, for example.

Effects
- The new Studio EQ 24 effect was added in the EQ category.
- With the new Bit Crusher effect, you can distort signals digitally.
- The new Clipper effect was added in the Distortion category.
- A new Fuzz Distortion effect is now available in the Distortion category.
- A new Auto Gain Compressor effect is now available in the Dynamics category.

Last but Not Least
Section and Module Presets
- You can now step through the available presets using the new Previous Preset/Next Preset buttons.

Automation
- Kit and global automation assignments are now saved with the kits.
