Absynth 6 marks the return of a legendary semi-modular synthesizer. Built for textures that transform and breathe, it invites you to shape sounds that are entirely your own. Deep enough for complex sound design, and intuitive enough for newcomers, it opens up distinctive, living sounds for cinematic cues, ambient soundscapes, and electronic productions.
Beyond ordinary synthesis
At the core of Absynth 6 is a hybrid engine that combines granular, FM, wavetable, and subtractive synthesis with deep modulation and a suite of creative effects. Its three oscillator channels give you structured unpredictability and endless room for exploration – perfect for sounds that evolve, shift, and surprise.

The Preset Explorer helps you find sounds by feel instead of scrolling through names. Navigate a sonic landscape where relationships between tones appear visually, leading you to unexpected discoveries and faster results.

Absynth 6's 68-point envelope system offers looping, breakpoint curves, sustain stages, and time-synced transitions – plus dedicated modulation LFOs. These flexible shapes let you craft evolving textures and rhythmic motion that goes far beyond standard ADSR envelopes.
Mutate presets
With the Mutator, inspiration is only ever a few clicks away. Use it to morph different presets into entirely new ones, generating new variants in moments. Sculpt them into sounds you love – all while keeping a timeline of changes so you can quickly recall and refine your favorites.
Textural alchemy

This update improves the organization of user content. Rescanning of user content is needed to benefit from the changes. Select “Rescan Presets” from the file menu on first launch when you use 3rd party or user presets. These presets should not be added to the factory content folder. You can use “Show User Content Folder” in the File menu to find the right location for user content.

IMPROVED Patch Insert module, Ringmod/Freq Shift frequency mode menu changed "ST" to "Transpose"
FIXED Absynth 6 would occasionally freeze loading legacy Absynth presets
FIXED Bank names for 3rd party and user banks would not appear in the bank list. Rescan of presets is needed after installation
FIXED Envelope Transform "Expand To Rhythm" could result in stuck notes
FIXED Update problems with control driven envelopes in the Assignment page. This is now consistent with Absynth 5
FIXED Assignment page Depth slider now has text display
FIXED Patch page: all frequency mode menus (Hz, Transpose...), the actual menu could have incorrect font at different UI scale
FIXED Fractalize Oscillator Detune control could be inactive depending on prior oscillator state
KNOWN ISSUE In rare cases some older presets may not load correctly. If these are saved in Absynth 5 they will open correctly
KNOWN ISSUE Presets saved within Absynth will not appear in Komplete Kontrol or Maschine. To see Absynth 6 user presets in Maschine or Komplete Kontrol, they must be saved from these applications
