Udemy Building Foundations Contemporary (Pop) Piano [TUTORiAL]

Welcome to Building Foundations: Contemporary (Pop) Piano! This course is not just for pop music. This course is for anyone wanting to learn how to play along with their favorite songs; radio hits, pop, rock, ccm, indie, and more.

In this course, we will learn our foundational chords (majors and minors) and some beautiful additional chords (suspensions and sevenths). We will also learn how to put rhythms to our chords and build a flow of sound that you can sing along with or play in a band! We'll go over tools for you to use during the learning phase of each song to help you play cohesively. And we will also tackle some theory elements to help you understand why what you're playing works, how to communicate with other musicians, and how to make these songs work for you!

For this course you will need to have access to a piano and the internet (to look up chord charts of your favorite songs you want to learn). You will also need to already have a basic understanding of the piano and the notes of the keys. Other than that, we'll be going over everything else you will need to know in order to play your favorite songs.
