Moment Alloy, A Faith Monaco Moment [WAV, Synth Presets]

You may not know the name Faith Monaco, but you’ve heard her sound(s) everywhere - MUSIC by Playboi Carti, psykotic by OsamaSon, REST IN BASS by Che, More Chaos by Ken Carson, and early life crisis by Nettspend, to name a few. The American producer, sound designer and artist has left a significant mark on the sound of trap music and the birth of “rage” as it is known today, through major production credits (Juice WRLD, “Conversations”) and as a hired-gun drumkit designer for producers like Rok, Ronny J, Jetsonmade, Charlie Heat and others. She’s one of rap’s best kept secrets, and over the past decade has brought to life the visions of the scene’s most innovative producers with her sound design.

Faith says “making trap drums from scratch is just as reactive as making alloys. One small tweak of a knob could entirely change the structure of a sound…the process feels like a delicate science”. Abusing tube amps, guitar pedals, worn tape and diode clippers in conjunction with custom PureData patches and maxed-out modular-level Serum 2 alchemy, ‘ALLOY’ amplifies the silent horror of wandering an abandoned factory, reimagining the heat of now-dormant machines. The resulting red-hot drums, molten synth melodies and sparking SFX evoke rage’s latest generation of torchbearers like Lucy Bedroque, Jane Remover and che.
