Invented in the late 60s and early 70s by pioneers such as "King Tubby", Lee "Scratch" Perry, and Errol Thompson, Dub is a trippy style of music that makes great use of effects and studio trickery. This sub-genre of Reggae is the root of all remixing and has influenced many contemporary genres of electronic music, like Pop, EDM, Hip Hop, Drum and bass, Dubstep, and so on.
