Handsome Dan is a creation from master instrument inventor Bart Hopkin: A stringed Zither with a unique twist. This flat wooden sound box has 14 strings, with a center bridge dividing them into two segments. A magnetic pickup is placed on one side, but the strings are played primarily on the other side, usually with a slide or plectrum. The tone is dreamy and ethereal, with a floating, swelling presence.

Cherry Audio has added a dual-layer voicing architecture, with 16 polyphonic voices per layer, that enables two different presets simultaneously, with independent panning for rich stereo timbres and complex, layered sounds. Pro Soloist also supports a split keyboard mode and an option to simulate polyphonic aftertouch with a monophonic aftertouch controller for more expressive performance possibilities beyond the standard touch sensor effects.

The GS-500 guitar and GR-500 synth engine were designed as the world's first true guitar synthesizer. More astonishing than its original release date of 1977 is the fact that this early guitar synth predates MIDI, functioning instead using an implementation of the CV and GATE signals common to modular synthesis. Cluster Sound - Korg DS -8 for Kontakt and Live

Released in 1986, the DS-8 was the Korg’s attempt to provide an easier way to access FM synthesis, one the most enigmatic synth architecture ever made. We created GLORY following the basics of classic synthesizer design. With it’s analog style oscillators and additional wav oscillators, we can create truly unique sounds. The sound of the real-time oscillators can be mixed with a single-layer wavetable synthesis, and can be enhanced with an additional wave (transient) sample. A custom sub oscillator is available to create a variety of bass tones. You can further shape the sound of the oscillators with High or Low Pass Moog or Hybrid style filters and FM-PWM modulation. You can improve the sound with the Matrix Designer, and for the final polish, use the FX section.

The W-77 vst concept

The project started in 2006. After a long break, following encouragement from musicians, we updated the W-77 plugin to 64-bit version. This is when the modification panel was added, with which we expanded the capabilities of the synthesizer. The original is a Wersi Bass synth from 1977. Based on our copy, we created the sound and graphic look of the VST version. This is a vintage sounding MONOPHONE BASS / LEAD synth. It has 3 waveforms, bass guitar emulation, and automatic LFO that can also control the filter. Simple ATTACK / DECAY and auto WAH control was given to the original device.

The MODIFICATION panel also has a couple of additional emulations. Such as potentiometer noise, amplifier buzzing, oscillator faults. We can use a deeper filter cut than the original, LFO sync and a fake stereo effect. We also thought it was essential to introduce tilt sensitivity which was not available on the original.
This is how our W-77 Bass / Lead synthesizer was born.
