Splice's Signal Path label is proud to present Egyptian Lover: 808 Gold. Egyptian Lover (born Greg Broussard) is a legend in the U.S. electro and hip hop scenes. Needless to say, we were excited when he spent a day at Sound Factory LA, bringing with him two hardware 808 units and a vocoder to lay down some samples and vocals. Egyptian Lover started out making mixtapes as a teenager, rhyming over tracks he recorded off the radio, before taking his mix of rhymes and electro beats to the LA streets as a member of Uncle Jamm's Army.

Dark Waves fuses together the incredible world of ambience, analogue synthesis and driving 4x4 rhythms. Inspired by the sounds of Nicolas Jaar and Darkside, this explorative sample pack showcases how beautifully synth patterns and guitar licks can unite to create something beautifully unique.

Julian Le, known as LEJKEYS, is a Grammy-nominated and Platinum music producer based in the San Francisco Bay Area with production credits for Jhené Aiko (he was the composer on her 3x Grammy-nominated album, Chilombo), Anderson .Paak, and tobi lou. He's also done live performance/show programming work for those artists, as well as Khalid, Usher, John Mayer, and many more.

Laxcity returns with a second Splice pack, this time on the heels of collaborating with Moore Kismet on two singles from their long-awaited debut album, UNIVERSE. He worked on the lush soundscapes of "Parallel Heartbreak" with Pauline Herr, and the explosive future-leaning track, "Flourish". For this sample pack, Laxcity applied his nuanced and immersive signature style to tons of foley sounds, tonal melodies, and vocal phrases and chops.

Splice has partnered with Mr Eazi and his organization, emPawa Africa, a talent incubation initiative to nurture and support up-and-coming artists in Africa. Together, with the release of original sample packs, we're bolstering the careers of three of the most promising Afropop producers today. Odera "Dëra" Godfrey - known professionally as Dëra - is a Grammy Award-winning music producer and songwriter who's worked with artists such as Joeboy, Major Lazer, DJ Neptune, and more. This pack embodies Dëra's perfect combination of Afrobeat percussion and catchy pop melodies that act as the ingredients for a banging hit.

This pack is by one of four Soundcloud x Splice NOVA Beat Battle winners, Michael Bruner, a Bloomington, Indiana-based singer-songwriter. His winnings included the opportunity to create this Splice pack, plus the distribution of his EP via SoundCloud's Repost. His pack embraces his bedroom lo-fi aesthetic while experimenting with found sounds, ambient soundscapes, and Rand;B grooves.

LeriQ (aka Eric Utere) is a Grammy Award-winning producer from Nigeria. He's known for his eclectic sound that seamlessly and distinctively melds African rhythms with the pulse of electronic dance music. LeriQ achieved recognition for his work on Burna Boy's 2012 single "Like To Party", and went on to produce the singer's debut album L.I.F.E (2013), as well as Twice as Tall (2020), which earned him an award at the 63rd Grammy ceremony.

DiRTY RADiO is a Dance-R&B band from Vancouver, British Columbia, formed in 2010. TONE VOLUME 1: Mike Hector is the first release in Splice's collab with COLORS, a multi-platform brand bridging the gaps between global culture, music, art, fashion, and education. Recently, Mike Hector (prod: Kendrick Lamar, Denzel Curry, Frank Ocean) co-produced “Imagine” by Doja Cat, a 2022 GRAMMY Album Of The Year nominee. For his first Splice Sample pack, the LA-based producer demonstrated his versatility and depth with hard-hitting drums, booming 808s, and a range of melodic elements from atmospheric synths to ominous pianos, and beyond.
