Inside this tutorial i will be going over how i make stabs and knocks using both synthesis and sample based techniques. Both are used heavily in my production from the knocks in my tracks Speed Shades and Magnum Meal, and are super fun to play around with. Altering small settings each time can cause really interesting results that are perfect for adding rhythm to a track or emphasising a kick or snares power in the track.

Dusty Acoustic Drums features vinyl sounding heavily processed acoustic drums. The sounds were recorded during a session for our Akustika Elektronika Drums pack and later edited to sound fat and crispy and easily cut through the mix. From meaty kicks to huge snares and warm hats, this selection can make your tracks sound much bigger. Our main inspiration for this pack are 80s and; 90s Hip-Hop beats, so we recreated a drum set that gives homage to this golden era.

In our first 224 release we sampled all presets, but the decay times of the presets were not longer than about 2,5 seconds. But this reverb shines in longer decay settings. So we decided to sample the chamber program in all possible decay settings.
