The origins of the Qanun can be traced back to ancient Egypt, where a similar instrument was played as early as 2500 BCE. LA-based and Venezuelan born film and TV composer Sandro Morales-Santoro is one of the founders of the Composer Diversity Collective (CDC) helping to increase the visibility of underserved industry producers and creatives through community and networking. He has teamed up with Splice to create a new cinematic world of sounds that provides the perfect backdrop for this dramatic scene.
