In the summer of 2021, producer Charles Van Kirk rode his bicycle 3,900 miles across the US from the Atlantic coast in Maine to the Pacific Ocean in Oregon. He packed a Zoom H6 in his handlebar bag and recorded sounds over the two-month-long journey through fourteen states.

He crafts spacious sonic landscapes rich with contributions from his creative community. His latest release, Sunday Painter, is a lush collection of instrumental songs that undulate along waves of jazz, ambient pop, Americana, and neo-classical.

Fit for any style of choice - hip hop, garage, jungle, dubstep, drum and bass - these breakbeat loops and one-shots are a reflection of Shigeto's artful genre-blending and bending. Shigeto is Zach Saginaw’s middle name. It’s also his grandfather’s name and a tribute to the Japanese branch of his family tree. Shigeto means “to grow”, appropriate, given Zach’s premature birth weight of less than a pound. Today, Shigeto stands for his vividly beautiful electronic music; beat-driven while given to richly textured sound design - rhythmically fractured but melodically sumptuous. Shigeto’s music is a bridge between the past and present, bringing the artist face to face with a creative legacy that spans decades.

The Brooklyn-born and raised musician Melanie Charles has made a name for herself through dynamic engagements with jazz, soul, and Rand;B. Her bold genre-bending style has been embraced by a range of artists including Wynton Marsalis, SZA, Mach-Hommy, Gorillaz, and The Roots. “Make Jazz Trill Again,” a project that she launched in 2016, demonstrates her allegiance to everyday people, especially the youth, and is focused on taking jazz from the museum to the streets. For this second installment, she has once again joined the Signal Path crew at Sound Factory LA to lay down flute, vocals, and electric piano samples for you to use in your productions. Use these one-shots and loops in your next project to help bring jazz to the streets.

INVT is the multidisciplinary art project of Luca Medici and Delbert Perez, specializing in electronic music and fashion design. Designated “The Best Electronic Act in Miami” by Miami Times, their sound mixes influences from Jungle, Techno, UKG, Dubstep, and various Latin bass music genres like Dembow, Cumbia, and Reggaeton. For the Latin Electronic Grooves pack, INVT met up with the Signal Path team for two days of recording at Sound Factory LA where they laid down live drums and percussion, then manipulated those sounds to create Dembow loops. This collection consists of rapid drum loops and raw rhythmic patterns bounding with that carefree Dembow energy.

Splice's Signal Path label is proud to present Egyptian Lover: 808 Gold. Egyptian Lover (born Greg Broussard) is a legend in the U.S. electro and hip hop scenes. Needless to say, we were excited when he spent a day at Sound Factory LA, bringing with him two hardware 808 units and a vocoder to lay down some samples and vocals. Egyptian Lover started out making mixtapes as a teenager, rhyming over tracks he recorded off the radio, before taking his mix of rhymes and electro beats to the LA streets as a member of Uncle Jamm's Army.

Dark Waves fuses together the incredible world of ambience, analogue synthesis and driving 4x4 rhythms. Inspired by the sounds of Nicolas Jaar and Darkside, this explorative sample pack showcases how beautifully synth patterns and guitar licks can unite to create something beautifully unique.

Julian Le, known as LEJKEYS, is a Grammy-nominated and Platinum music producer based in the San Francisco Bay Area with production credits for Jhené Aiko (he was the composer on her 3x Grammy-nominated album, Chilombo), Anderson .Paak, and tobi lou. He's also done live performance/show programming work for those artists, as well as Khalid, Usher, John Mayer, and many more.

Laxcity returns with a second Splice pack, this time on the heels of collaborating with Moore Kismet on two singles from their long-awaited debut album, UNIVERSE. He worked on the lush soundscapes of "Parallel Heartbreak" with Pauline Herr, and the explosive future-leaning track, "Flourish". For this sample pack, Laxcity applied his nuanced and immersive signature style to tons of foley sounds, tonal melodies, and vocal phrases and chops.
