Splice has partnered with Mr Eazi and his organization, emPawa Africa, a talent incubation initiative to nurture and support up-and-coming artists in Africa. Together, with the release of original sample packs, we're bolstering the careers of three of the most promising Afropop producers today. Odera "Dëra" Godfrey - known professionally as Dëra - is a Grammy Award-winning music producer and songwriter who's worked with artists such as Joeboy, Major Lazer, DJ Neptune, and more. This pack embodies Dëra's perfect combination of Afrobeat percussion and catchy pop melodies that act as the ingredients for a banging hit.

This pack is by one of four Soundcloud x Splice NOVA Beat Battle winners, Michael Bruner, a Bloomington, Indiana-based singer-songwriter. His winnings included the opportunity to create this Splice pack, plus the distribution of his EP via SoundCloud's Repost. His pack embraces his bedroom lo-fi aesthetic while experimenting with found sounds, ambient soundscapes, and Rand;B grooves.

LeriQ (aka Eric Utere) is a Grammy Award-winning producer from Nigeria. He's known for his eclectic sound that seamlessly and distinctively melds African rhythms with the pulse of electronic dance music. LeriQ achieved recognition for his work on Burna Boy's 2012 single "Like To Party", and went on to produce the singer's debut album L.I.F.E (2013), as well as Twice as Tall (2020), which earned him an award at the 63rd Grammy ceremony.

DiRTY RADiO delivers some serious fun in this sample pack. If you're looking to make people move their bodies, you've found the right sounds. DiRTY RADiO is a Dance-R&B band from Vancouver, British Columbia, formed in 2010. The band was founded by members Farshad Edalat known by his stage name Shadi, Zachary Forbes known by his stage name Waspy, and Anthony Dolhai known by his stage name Tonez.

Mamii is a virtuosic artist, songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, and producer. She produced her entire album and after releasing her own music, worked with various artists such as Syd, Westside Boogie, Wiz Khalifa, and more! Nostalgic yet futuristic, Mamii weaves elements of pop, Rand;B, funk, gospel, and rock into an eclectic soundscape that listeners can now experience in her first ever sample pack!

Damon “DāM-FunK” Riddick (pronounced: Dame-Funk) is the epitome of funk and one of the genre's most passionate proselytizers, out to save it from devilish depictions of cartoonish caricature. To Dam, funk is a way of living, “a feeling of struggle and staying cool through it all.”

TONE VOLUME 1: Mike Hector is the first release in Splice's collab with COLORS, a multi-platform brand bridging the gaps between global culture, music, art, fashion, and education. Recently, Mike Hector (prod: Kendrick Lamar, Denzel Curry, Frank Ocean) co-produced “Imagine” by Doja Cat, a 2022 GRAMMY Album Of The Year nominee. For his first Splice Sample pack, the LA-based producer demonstrated his versatility and depth with hard-hitting drums, booming 808s, and a range of melodic elements from atmospheric synths to ominous pianos, and beyond.

Composer and producer Ernest Brown, received a drum scholarship to attend Clark Atlanta University, which was where his nickname, the Human Torch, evolved into the pseudonym Charlie Heat. Today, he is a 6x Grammy Nominated and 2x Latin Grammy Nominated Multi-Platinum Producer.

British rap producer Ceebeaats is one of the most exciting producers in the UK. She's worked with artists like AJ Tracey, Digga D, JB Made It (Drake, Headie One), Miss La Familia, and more. She co-produced Digga D's smash hit "Woi", 2020’s biggest-selling drill song. Now she's taking us beyond UK Drill with her first Splice pack focusing on the melodic aspects of Drill - still moody, raw, and eerie but less ominous than classic Drill.

Sound Doctrine presents The Writer’s Retreat featuring, songwriting husband and wife duo, Jerome and Danni Baylor. Contemporary gospel now contains so much of the industry standard soulful Rand;B riffs and runs with beautifully constructed stacked “bgv’s;” the Baylor’s have made a living writing and producing tracks like this for award winning artists like Fantasia, Jason Nelson, David and Tamela Mann, James Fortune and many more .

The Sound Doctrine team presents “United Voices Vol. 2.” This release gives you quality classic three part vocal harmonies, soprano, alto and tenor voices singing 15 different loop arrangements with accompanying organ and piano by “Swoope.” This pack once again features gospel recording artist Jay Todd, from our hit “Vamp” series and United Voices Vol. 1, with backing vocalists to ultimately give you more textures, options and of course more control! Gospel music relies heavily on the sound of vocalists coming together singing in harmony and in unison, from choirs, to ensembles and even down to duets, the power of people singing together is monumental and foundational to the genre. “The United Voices Sample Pack” highlights an ensemble of church vocalists who are our friends and contemporaries who play a part in creating and sustaining the culture of music in their local churches.

The Life in Love Pack pays homage to and is inspired by the innovative sounds and songs of gospel music pioneer Fred Hammond. Originating from Detroit Michigan Hammond was a bassist for legendary gospel group “The Winans” and then later on became one of the original members of famed gospel group “Commissioned.” His solo career blossomed after in the early 2000’s with his group “Radical For Christ” bringing so many of the popular Rand;B, soul, funk and dance sounds of the day to gospel music. With this pack we sought to bring some of those sounds Fred Hammond was known for with contemporary Rand;B vocal harmonies, smooth chord progressions and the icing on the cake, a horn trio!
