We were lucky we met Sekou Soumah and his family rehearsing outside a drum shop we went to and quickly became friends. We played together and invited him and his band back to our studio. Sekou and his family are orignally from Conakry, Guinea and had been living in Banjul, The Gambia for about a year when we met them. They are all master drummers, musicians, and dancers.
