As a way of celebrating our 10th entry in our hardware-centric series of soundsets for Omnisphere 2, we decided to shift our attention to one of the most curious synthesizers ever made: the Motor Synth.

Zembla is a new ambient library for Omnisphere 2 created fully with custom soundsources. It contains 105 presets and 240 soundsources. The sounds in Zembla are inspired by the Arctic region and the presets have a cold, ambient, but also sometimes a mysterious and experimental character.

Omnisphere Altura is a collection of 120 brand new cinematic patches for Spectrasonics' Omnisphere 2.6 synthesizer. It comes with 251 new sound sources, including custom recordings with Meinl Cymbals' artist and session drummer Horacio París, as well as renowned session bassist Chalo Trejos.

Elvish Choir is exactly what it sounds like: A pack of rowdy elven folk singing as an ensemble, with sustains, short staccatos and long staccatos/semi-marcatos in multiple dynamics over a fairly wide range. Also included are meaty shout/yelp impacts created through a little excessive hammer on elf groin violence. We recorded this little beast with the help of a little spiced seasonal ale and a whole lot of helium. It's perfect for holiday, comedy and parody music and those who are searching for fresh and weird source material for sound design and experimentation.

This library features a Barbiton, Cithara, Lyre, Goat Horn Lyre, Pandura, Phorminx and Trigonon. Crafted of wood, gut and goat skins, these classic musical artifacts capture the sound and spirit of classical Greek civilization at its height. The influence they have had on modern harps, guitars and zithers is clearly audible and plain to see in these faithful reconstructions.

Ancient Greek Percussion is a fantastic collection of 6 deeply sampled hand percussion instruments that explore the oldest roots of Western musical traditions, stretching back thousands of years – and likely with roots that easily predate all of recorded history. This library features a Crotalum, Kymbalon, Sistrum, 15-inch Tympanon, 22-inch Tympanon, and Tympanon Zill. Crafted of wood, gut, goat skins and bronze, these rustic musical artifacts capture the sound and soul of classical Greek musical craftsmanship at its peak.
