Alternative Hip-Hop and R&B comes in many forms. However, one of the most evolving and obscure forms is of the electronic variety. The musical compositions have a familiar tone and foundation that can range from soulful, to trap, and even jazz inspired. The layers and various instruments used are mostly various kinds of synths ranging from vintage to modern, granular/glitchy synth pads and atmospheric vocals.

The eclectic sound of "Alternate" Hip-Hop is special one. From laid-back quirky grooves, unexpected alternative trap bounces, obvious inspiration from boy bands form the 90's to the 2000's and even acoustic guitar blends. It's a unique sound the has grown many artists' ban bases and made them stand outs in within Hop-Hop.

The Lo-Fi genre has forever been expanding in sub-genres. From boom bap, to trap and even Vaporware the sound of “Lo-Fi” is eternal. So, we decided to expand our fan-favorite “Hues” series and create some passive feels that are along side the “Lo-Fi” genre but coincide with our known eclectic feel that we provide for our Hues sample packs. Passive Hues' content is congruent with its title as it's chill, laid back & more relaxed in tone. We pulled inspiration from the likes of River Tiber, SiR, Mac Miller and the underground solo project Divorce Court.

The relaxing feel of Soul music can not be denied. There is a warmth to Soul music that only producers and musicians understand which can only be achieved by using certain chord progressions, melodies and instruments to carry them out. When it comes to sampling for Hip-Hop, most would agree that there are a combination of or single instruments that are gold when sampling — Piano, Rhodes, Horns, Bass & vocal notes/harmonies. Our latest sample pack, Fireplace provides just that. Classic feels with undeniable warmth.

The sound of Autumn has a two fold dynamic. It can be warm, cool, and smooth. Or it can be cold, rainy, and windy. What's interesting is that although Autumn signifies the beginning of nature fading away, the former mentioned “warm” feels can be heard in much of music production in music released during the season. The most popular genre to release during the fall is R&B with additional touches of Soul and Jazz. The later two additional genres add a “warmth” and “smoothness” to the texture of production.

In congruence of our Dark Tint sample pack, our 3rd Trap genre addition taps into the “Emo” side of the genre. While still showing a portion of its dark side, the more emotional side of Trap contains more of a bounce in addition to slightly soulful chord progressions with completing melodies. The melancholy can be felt in the textures that are slightly atmospheric, a little lo-fi at times and “cold”. Artists like Post Malone, Rae Sremmurd, Lil Uzi Vert and others alike are known for this more “emotional” side of Trap Music.

The Trap genre continues to grow and evolve and will never die. However, the sound is infamous for its dark and brooding side that lays the ground for a darker tone of vocals or lyrics. Strangely enough, many of these darker productions have become some of the genre's most popular anthems. From Kendrick Lamar's “M.A.A.D. City” to Travis Scott's “Antidote”, the dark dide of trap brings a freedom of expression like no other. Our sample Pack, Dark Tint, reaches to capture some of that essence and more with inspiration from Jay Rock, J.I.D., Freddie Gibbs and more.

The youthful sound of Summer. An enteral sound that gives life and provides the soundtrack to annual fun in the sun at music festivals all over the country or even just vacation trips to the beach. One of the biggest themes of Summer music beyond fun is love. It's the big follow up from the infamous smooth sounds of “cuffing” season to the more vibrant sounds sounds of “show off” season.

Our take on Modern Neo-Soul or "Future" Neo-Soul is back as Dreamy Soul II. It's laid back, ambient and dream-like. Still full of soft pianos, smooth Rhodes with added elements of synths with cinematic textures.
