Forty years ago, a group of scientists, artists and writers gathered in a house in Ithaca, New York to work on the most important compilation ever conceived. It wasn't from one person to another, it was from Earth to the Cosmos.

‘Simply Soulful’ is the meticulously crafted creation by New Zealand born producer and DJ, Mercy. Capturing much of Mercy’s R&B, Jazz and Soul influences, this unique sample collection includes indulgent synths, vibrant keys, punchy drumlines, mystifying fx, wholesome bass and a couple of vocal loops for good measure!

Prestige is a tight collection of pumping hip hop samples designed to create future classics and includes tough snares, slam dunked hits, brash beats, twisted fx, funky chords, rhodes notes, jazzy elements, guitar wahs, hard hitting horns, and heavy sax echoes.

Mute Records is one of the most influential, commercially successful, and long-lasting of the British independent record labels formed in the wake of the late-1970's punk explosion. Yet, in comparison with contemporaries such as Rough Trade or Stiff, its legacy remains under-explored.
