Since “Trap For Serum” was a huge success a lot of producers have asked me to finally release a trap drum kit. So I set to work and put in countless hours of studio time to create a product better than anything else on the market.

Trap Kits Vol 1 is a collection of 5 trap construction kits, partly inspired by current hip hop charts. You’ll get access to every single file used to make these beats: All of the drum shots, drum loops, synth loops, MIDIs & Serum presets.

On top of that there is a Ableton Live project file for every beat included, so you’ll see exactly how everything is arranged, mixed and mastered. All of these sounds are 100% royalty-free so you’ll be able to cook up some new heat in minutes.

The idea behind Trap For Serum was to create a preset pack providing sounds used in the current hip-hop charts. So I set to work, analyzed dozens of beats and recreated patch after patch.

After a while I wanted to take this idea to a whole new level: I decided to add my own twist, so I continued to work and filled the pack with unique sounds matching the vibe of modern trap music.

This second instrumental pack in Splice Sessions: Senegal features the kora, a strikingly beautiful lute-bridge harp instrument synonymous with the culture of West Africa. The sound of a kora resembles that of a harp. Though when played in the traditional style, its sounds bear a closer resemblance to flamenco and Delta blues guitar techniques.

This edition of Splice Sessions was recorded at Laboutique Studios Dakar with Sidy Koita, a world-renown balafonist who plays with the Orchestre National du Sénégal and many other acts. A member of the griot family in the Mandinka community of Senegal, Koita celebrates the marriage of traditional Senegalese instruments with modern music techniques. It brings him great joy to see the beloved balafon he was raised with incorporated into contemporary music around the world.

Congolese Drums with Andre Toungamani is the third installment of Senegal Sessions and the first instrumental pack in the series. This groovy pack focuses on creating sounds to dance to in the style of Mbalax, Afrobeat, hip hop, and dancehall.

For this installment of Splice Sessions, Django Diabate joined the Sessions team at Laboutique Studios Dakar to play the stunning ngoni. This intricate instrument has appeared in several of the previous Sessions packs, so we're delighted to highlight its unique sounds and value.
