Broke out the 8-bit hardware for this one! Nintendo entertainment system, Nintendo Gameboy, Commodore 64 and the Atari 2600 game systems were used to craft some retro gritty chip drums for you to dive into.

Volume 2! Super hard drum breaks at 70,80,90 & 100 beats per minute. We also included an Akai S950 12-bit sampled version for some extra grit. Recorded with the sampling producer in mind so they are perfect for chopping up individual hits to program drum rhythms or just looping the entire groove.

Dig in to some elementary school age drums and percussion, built with plasticky heads and very low-end materials for kids to bang on. Distinct drum tones on the other side of the spectrum from professional instruments.

Another lo-fi plasticy volume of Toy Drums! For number 5 we dove into some more obscure toy drum machines, home keyboards and vintage drum toys and then recorded them through high end analog hardware. These are the sounds you'd be blasting when your mom yelled up the stairs about her headache!

The Handclap. Used in many different genres over just the past 40 years. Soul, disco, funk and neo-soul instantly come to mind. Right before the change from rhythm boxes to full fledged analog drum machines in the early 80's there was a need for a machine that would allow the user to dial in a clap sound and then trigger for live or studio use. Most of these machines filled that need. A few are now insanely rare.

We've recorded 19 machines, modules and vintage drum brains' booming kicks, clean through our API preamp and Neve tape unit. Then we added some grit and sound destruction via the Akai s950, Roland sp-404 and Ibanez LF7 LO-FI pedal. Load them up into your sampler and get busy.
